How it Works

What it is -These are $275, one time, substance abuse specific assessments requested by clients seeking out to appeal for driver's license reinstatement from the Secretary of State.  Fees are due prior to your evaluation.

The process - During the evaluation I will review the steps and process of appeal, expectations regarding interlock devices, and work with you to find consistent and accurate responses to both the clinical evaluation and your application.

I will also cover expectations regarding the 12-panel urinalysis and provide referral if necessary, discuss the role and expectations of character reference letters, length of sobriety, support groups and treatment, have you complete 2 substance abuse screenings, and complete an interview assessment.

Pickup notification - Your evaluation will be ready in about 2 weeks. You will be notified that your evaluation is ready, and you can then arrange a pick up time or for it to be mailed to your home.

Refunds and late fees- The agency does NOT provide refunds. You are allowed 2 reschedules before you will be referred elsewhere. BE AWARE, there is a full session rate fee of $275 for any late cancel/no show/showed up under the influence appointment that was unable to be kept without at least a 24 hour notice.

Important Things to Know

Sobriety - It is suggested to obtain an evaluation ONLY after you have a minimum 12 months (1 year) of sobriety from all alcohol, marijuana, and illicit drugs. This is to provide you the best benefit for you money and a greater likelihood of a positive result.

Timelines - All appeal documentation must be dated within the same 90 day period, sent together, and is good for 90 day only.

Appeals -Michigan only allows ONE appeal per year.

Errors - Please review your evaluation for errors and notify the agency for corrections as soon as possible. Errors that can be corrected within less than 15 minutes will be free of charge.  All others incur a fee of up to $50. The agency has the right to refuse to correct or change any information as we see fit. Certain corrections will  require notation addendums in the evaluation for agency protection.

False information - We are NOT responsible for you providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information or for discrepancies between our evaluation and a previous evaluation by another evaluator.

Guarantees - The agency CANNOT guarantee that you will agree with our recommendation or that there will be any specific appeal outcome.
